The name Imperial Barber Shop was established by Maurice Scully in 1918 and it was located at the corner of Elgin and Sparks. The second location was established in 2006 at the corner of Kent & Slater while the third location was established in the Glebe in 2009 near the corner of Bank and 5th Ave.

After 107 years in the same location the Sparks St shop finally closed on March 31st, 2012.
