Travel about 0.8 miles SW on US97 from the Yew Avenue exit in Redmond. The corner is on the right, about 510' W from the highway.
Type of survey mark: 5/8" iron rod with centering dimple; rising 1"

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
There is a white paddleboard mounted on a U-post about 2' S of the corner. Found two western juniper bearing trees with scribed blazes. There is a LOCATION POSTER and yellow BEARING TREE tag on the tree established by John E. Hollingsworth in 1978, and a yellow BEARING TREE tag on the tree added by Richard S. Kaiser in 2006. Travel about 1.1 miles SW on US97 from the Yew Avenue exit in Redmond. On the right, about 900' W from the highway, found a 9" western juniper with a scribed blaze and LOCATION POSTER at the coordinates expected for T15S R13E S31 32 N 1/16 COR. There is contradictory information in the survey reports, however, based on values scratched on the LOCATION POSTER, the corner bears N31ºW, 21.1' distant. At a nearby rock crib there is a T-junction of E-W continuing and N-S terminating fences. The expected location of the corner faces the scribed blaze and LOCATION POSTER and is in line with the N-S fence but about 25' N from the E-W fence. Taped from the bearing tree and searched, without success, for a 5/8" iron rod at the expected corner location.

What property is this mark defining?:
In order to establish the Redmond-Bend Juniper Wayside boundary it was necessary to subdivide T15S R13E S32. T15S R13E S29 32 W 1/16 COR is not on the park boundary. T15S R13E S31 32 N 1/16 COR is on the park boundary. Eighty acres SE of this corner was once slated to become the Redmond-Bend Juniper Wayside, an Oregon State Park. This land is now being included in discussions of the South Redmond Tract Land Use and Management Plan.
