"Washington, Mo. is one of the most river-centric towns on the Lower Missouri River. The beautiful park overlooking the river is the ideal place to hold, not just a community river clean-up, but also a local river festival highlighting the town's connection to the river. We are looking forward to a Saturday full of river clean-ups, music, river education and good food on the banks of the Missouri." Washington River Festival Facebook Page
My View: Rennick Riverfront Park is a river access to the Missouri River, a spot just north of where Lewis and Clark overnighted, Picnic area (many business people eat their lunch here during the summer, Robert Frazer monument is in this park. Robert Frazer was a member of the Lewis and Clark Corps of Discovery and returned here to live. (Sometime his name is spelt: Fraizer, Frazier, but the correct spelling is FRAZER)
The river access site is near where Lucinda Owens operated a ferry across this Missouri River, and around which the City of Washington was started.
The old train depot for Washington is in the park and is now an antique store. You have to cross the train tracks to enter, and it is an fully active set of train tracks.
Interesting site on the River Festival
