Granville started life as junction point on the Sydney to Parramatta railway line. In 1878, the town received its own post office, which was then part of the stationmaster's house
The Granville LPO is located on Railway Parade, across the road from the Granville railway Station and the site of the tragic Granville train accident in 1977.
