This park is kept in excellent condition. It even has heated bathrooms that are available in winter, unlike a lot of other parks in Northwest Arkansas and Southwest Missouri. However, the park typifies the area: very sparse. Oh, it has nice facilites, but they are very spread out. A large portion of the park is simply a grass field. Although it is part of the park, a local farmer cuts it for hay to keep it maintained -- might as well not waste the grass!
So also the population of the town of Gateway is also very spread out. As a result, in this poster's experience, this park does not see a lot of heavy use, regardless of the time of year, day and weather. However, I have joined some other folks to play some music at the pavilion -- all 6 of us -- back in 2003 or 2004.
This park is an excellent place for travelers to stop at and take a break.
