The previous Town Hall building in Boží Dar was destroyed in a fire in 1808, together with a further 104 houses in town. The present-day Town Hall was built in 1844-1845. At the same year (1844) also the tower clock mechanism was installed here. The clock has been carefully repaired and renovated in 2009. The rounded dials on the tower has black background with gilded hands and Latin numerals as well.
