This is a two way, or bidirectional, wheeled, ride on plow. The idea is that the farmer may, by alternating which share is put to use, return up the field on the same furrow he just came down. This happens because a normal plow will turn the ground in one direction only, and when the plow is turned around, the plow would turn the ground in the direction opposite to what it had just done, which is not a desirable thing. This design was a leap forward in simplifying a farmer's life. More advanced designs based on this concept are still made today.
How to get here: Just north of the far north end of Mead, WA, turn west off Highway 395 onto Monroe Road. Follow it for 1.1 miles then angle right on Monroe. Follow Monroe for another 3.6 miles to North Hazard Road. At North Hazard Road Monroe becomes West Ridgeway Road. Continue along it to the museum on the south side of the road, another .3 miles. There are signs along the way.
These unrestored machines are outside the museum so it is not necessary to pay a fee to view them, though paying to view the rest of the museum is definitely worth the cost.
