Still publishing a small paper that, of late, seems to average about 14 pages, the tribune has published continuously (we believe) for 108 years as of 2014. The paper serves a city of about 3,600 and outlying areas of possibly that much again. At present any history of the paper itself seems as scarce as hen's teeth. Known archives of the Tribune reach back only to 1985.
It appears that the paper may have published under various names, including the Deer Park Union, published from at least 1932 to 1956, and possibly the Tri-County Tribune. The Deer Park Union appears to have been registered at the Deer Park post office on June 12, 1906, the same year the present Tribune began publishing. They are, then, likely one and the same.
