Perrins Field - Deer Park, WA - Municipal Parks and Plazas on Waymarking.com

There is a plaque mounted on a small section of brick fence, dedicated to Sam Perrins, to be found at the south east corner of an athletic field, coincidentally named Perrins' Field.

The park is used for organized sports such as football, soccer and baseball/softball, as well as playing with the dog and tossing a Frisbee around. There are washrooms in the north east corner of the park by the baseball diamond.

Sam Perrins came to Deer Park in 1931 to coach athletics and teach at Deer Park High School. He retired from Deer Park Schools in June 1965. More than 2000 students have been influenced by Sam. Perrins' field was named in his honor. He was the major influence in securing the land and having it cleared for use as a football field.
