This plaque, dedicated to Sam Perrins is to be found at the south east corner of an athletic field, coincidentally named Perrins' Field.

Sam Perrins came to Deer Park in 1931 to coach athletics and teach at Deer Park High School. He retired from Deer Park Schools in June 1965. More than 2000 students have been influenced by Sam. Perrins' field was named in his honor. He was the major influence in securing the land and having it cleared for use as a football field.

Dedicated to Sam Perrins and family
this day of July 28, 1990.
Location: Perrins' Field Athletic Park
