This is a really nice historical mural mounted in a frame on the side of Colville's old fire hall.

The mural, unsigned and undated, appears not to have a web presence, but it definitely has a presence in the real world. The mural, about eight by sixteen feet in size, depicts scenes fron the early history of Colville and area.
In the mural are six separate scenes, all tied together by the background. The scenes are of:
• Miners at work at their mine
• A large Native encampment
• The cavalry out on maneuvers
• Three teams of oxen pulling a wagon load of virgin timber
• A horse drawn fire truck racing to a fire
• A farmer and his horse pulling stumps in a field
Altogether a very well done mural, very much representative of the Stevens County area when first being settled in the 1860s to 1890s.
The mural is on the west side of the old fire house (Stevens County Fire Disrict #3) on the north side of East First Avenue, midway between Oak and Elm Avenues.
