Wikipedia tells us that "Peel Park is a 22.6-hectare (56-acre) urban public park in the Bolton and Undercliffe area of Bradford, England, located about 0.75 miles (1.2 km) north-east of the city centre, and named after Sir Robert Peel (1788-1850). Peel Park was Bradford's first public park[1][2] and is on the English Heritage and National Register of Historic Parks and Gardens online databases. The park is a Green Flag Award winner and has been for a number of years.[3]"
The Insect Hotel was installed by
Bradford Leisure Services "in the flower garden area of Peel Park. This is to increase bio-diversity within our planting schemes and encourage insects and wildlife. As part of the scheme, gardeners also created and built a ‘Bug Shelter’ which was completely made from waste and recycled products including, logs, stone, carpet, old garden canes, twigs, pipes, wooden pallets and branches. The top of the shelter has a ‘green roof’ and wild flowers will be grown on it to provide extra interest."
The park is open during daylight hours and entrance to the park is free.
