The cemetery dates to the 1740's when the church was founded and a log church was built on the site. The current brick church building was constructed in 1767. The cemetery has several hundred graves including graves of twenty-six Revolutionary War veterans. The cemetery and old church building are well maintained, the church built a new church building beginning in 1861 which is located across the road from the old church.
