A Monument in memory of Edward Jost. At this point he wrote in the region well-known "Pfälzer Lied" (Palatinate song).

Eduard Jost Info:
Edward Jost (born July 21, 1837 in Trier, † March 15, 1902 in Neustadt on the Wine Route) was a German author who was mainly active in the Palatinate.

Jost was initially singer and actor. From 1864 he worked as a writer for various newspapers Palatinate, so when Trierischer People's Daily, the Dürkheimer Gazette and the Landauer courier. In 1884 he founded the Palatine Wochenschrift The home in Kaiserslautern. After living in Leipzig (1886) and Naumburg (Saale) (1892), he returned to the Palatinate and was managing editor of the newspaper Neustadter. Jost also wrote fiction, home related works, such as The Patriot of Kaiserslautern. A brief history of the Palatinate from the last time the government of Karl Theodor (1884). Under the title 25 years ago, he wrote his memoirs in 1895.
