The two-story brick house was built in 1754 for Jonathan and Mary Dickinson as indicated the the marking "I.M.D. 1754" These markings along with a decorative design were done with blue glazed bricks on the otherwise red brick house, the design covering most of the south elevation of the house.

The house has had several different owners over the years however it is in very good condition.

The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
