"Sé" is a word of hard translation to English. It's a kind of church (Catholic, of course). And it's in front of this church that the route to Santiago initiates. From here pilgrims will pass successively Vila do Conde, Barcelos, Ponte de Lima, Valença, Tui, Redondela, Pontevedra, Caldas de Reis, Padrón and finally, arriving at Santiago de Compostela.
From the same spot there are signs pointing to a different and geographically opposite pilgrimage place: Fátima.
