This is an Equestrian Statue of König Wilhelm I (William I, King of Württemberg) which is located in front of the 'Kursaal' in Bad Cannstatt, Germany, Baden-Württemberg.
The life-sized statue was created by Johann von Halbig in 1875.
It shows King Wilhelm I sitting on his horse.
The statue is made of bronze. It is located on top of a red stone basement. originally the statue was located on the 'wilhemsplatz' in Stuttgart. But after only 6 years it was relocated to its current possition.
It was created by the grateful population.
King Wiliam I was the second King of Württemberg from 30th October 1816 until his death in 1864.
The statue is listed in the German Monument Registers.
