Born in Klamath Falls, OR. on April 20th, 1945, Lieutenant Bruce Heskett was a volunteer in the Vietnam War who gave his life on June 29th, 1970. Lieutenant Heskett has been immortalized on the Virtual Wall at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC. His memorial at Holy Cross consists of a granite plinth with a flag and flagpole mounted atop.

Killed near the Demilitarized Zone in South Vietnam, he was a 1963 graduate of Gonzaga Prep and a 1968 graduate of Notre Dame University, where he was commissioned in the Reserve Officer Training Corps and played on the rugby team.
