Le cimetière St-John est toujours actif aujourd'hui malgré que l'église auquel il est associé ne l'est plus depuis 1981. Il est situé de l'autre côté de la rue, un peu de biais avec l'ancienne église.
Des trois cimetières de cette partie de la ville de Bromont anciennement West Shefford, celui-ci est le plus ancien. La plus vieille pierre tombale répertoriée date de 1803. Ann Savage (Pratt), épouse du pionnier fondateur de West Shefford John Savage, y sera enterrée en 1822. Son époux l'y rejoindra 4 ans plus tard.

Un petit parc avec gazebo, bancs, table de pique-nique et plaque commémorant l'arrivée de John Savage comme pionnier fondateur de West Shefford occupe le coin de la rue entre le cimetière et l'église. St. John Cemetery is still active today despite the church which it is associated is no longer since 1981. It is about 80 years older than the church itself as the actual building dates from 1889 and the oldest tombstone listed dates from 1803. It is located across John Savage street, a little way with the church.
Of the three cemeteries in this part of the town of Bromont formerly West Shefford, it is the oldest. Ann Savage (Pratt), wife of the founder of West Shefford Captain John Savage, died in 1822 and lies buried in this cemetery. John died in 1826 and lies buried there as well.

A small park with gazebo, benches, picnic table and plaque commemorating the arrival of John Savage as first settler of West Shefford occupies the street corner between the cemetery and the church. The path leading to the cemetery is there and you can read at the trailhead a plaque describing a "Bit of History" about this cemetery. Full bilingual text at (visit link)
