The value of the land at that time was £5, a considerable sum. The church conducted its first service on 5 April 1891 & services continued until the 1940s when numbers declined to see it close in 1947. It reopened in 1971, was refurbished, but numbers of parishioners declined again to see it close in 1999 only to reopen 6 months later on the threat of it being sold.
Credit for the above information: A typed note of the church's history by Margaret Armstrong pinned to the noticeboard at the entrance.
The age of the church can be verified by the year of construction engraved into the capstone above the entrance.
The church holds services on the first & third Sunday of the month.
