The Queenstown Gardens Skatepark was recently redeveloped and is located next to the ice arena. The reviewers at skateparkhunter.com give it a 4.3 out of 5.

skateparkhunter.com describes it as "... one of the better skateparks in NZ. A super fun street course with a whole lot of random features to keep everyone happy and creative then at the far end, a huge keyhole bowl. Probably 12 – 13 foot in the deep end ..."

"Great park, takes a while to find the hidden lines and s*** to do. If you like gaps and being nuts this is your kind of place, or if your into tech skating. When your there be sure to put the rock going up the step up, makes do for a good pole jam kinda thing. Needs the extension thats been talked of for the past few years (mini ramp and lights). Not really skateable at night. Super smooth concrete too. Great condition"
