HARTER HALL, a three-story brick dormitory for men, erected in 1917, accommodates 100 students. It is named for Dr. George A. Harter, President of Delaware College from 1896 to 1914, and Professor of Mathematics unit his retirement in 1935. - Delaware: A Guide to the First State, 1938, pg. 228.
