Cette petite usine de traitement des eaux usées est située à l'entrée du parc industriel et dessert la population de la ville de Bromont et ses industries.
Elle est en opération 12 heures sur 24 et fonctionne sur le principe d'étangs aérés. Les usines du parc industriel ont toutes leurs propres mini-centrale de traitement d'eau ce qui permet de pré-traiter leurs eaux usées avant de les envoyer à la centrale de Bromont pour éviter la présence de métaus lourds ou autres contaminants indésirables qui pourraient se retrouver sinon dans les boues résiduelles.
This small wastewater plant is located at the entrance of the industrial park and serves the population of the town of Bromont and its industries.
It is in operation 12/24 hours a day and works on the principle of aerated lagoons. The factories plants of the insdustrial park all have their own mini-water treatment plant that allows to pre-treat their wastewater before sending it to the Bromont central to collect any heavy metals or other undesirable contaminants that could otherwise remain in the biosolids.
What is the capacity of the facility?: 7 000 000 liters/day
Describe the biological treatment technology used.: Lagoons (6 aerated lagoons)
How are biosolids (sludge) managed?: Tested first to detect any unwanted residus. So far there is none so it is used as agricultural fertilizer
What technology is used for disinfection prior to dicharge of treated water?: None required, the treated water is pure enough to discharge as is to the river
