The marker was covered with snow, which I brushed off as best as I could, to reveal this text:
"In his campaign in the Fox Valley for the
Office of President of the United States
JOHN FITZGERALD KENNEDY
later elected thirty-fifth president of
the United States of America spoke here
to a crowd of citizens of this county
on 25 October, 1960."
