KR1306 - USCGS 'D 307' BM - University of Nevada, Reno - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

I recovered this U.S. Coast & Geoedetic Survey benchmark from 1947 in good condition. It is monumented on the east balustrade in front of the C. Palmer Mechanical Engineering Building on the campus of the University of Nevada. My posted coordinates and the NGS datasheet description will place you very close to this station.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1947 IN RENO. AT RENO, AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NEVADA, AT THE MAIN ENTRANCE TO THE UNIVERSITY OF NEVADA ENGINEERING BUILDING, 17.6 FEET SOUTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE MAIN ENTRANCE TO THE BUILDING, SET ON TOP AND AT THE WEST END OF THE CONCRETE BALUSTRADE, 1.8 FEET EAST OF THE WEST END OF THE BALUSTRADE AND 2.9 FEET HIGHER THAN THE CONCRETE SIDEWALK.
