Single story brick structure built in 1915 as a train depot for the Delaware and Hudson RR. It now serves as the village offices and police station.

Bainbridge was settled over 200 years ago by people who had the courage to settle in a new frontier area. The first Europeans in Bainbridge were displaced by settlers from Vermont, known as the Vermont Sufferers, who were given land in what is now Bainbridge and Afton. The town of Bainbridge was formed in 1791 as Jericho, which was part of Tioga County until 1798, and changed to Bainbridge in 1814. The village incorporated in 1829.

Visit Instructions:
To log a visit, you must post a photo of you in front of the building described, with your GPS in the photo. No drive by photos.

I have had NO problems with taking photos of Police stations but please respect the fact that some services may be nervous about having their photo taken and inquire as to why... I have found that once things are explained they are more than happy to let me photograph the building, crest, chief... (they are people too!)
