Accordingly to the official Nobel Prizes website, Fritz Pregl was awarded due to "his invention of the method of micro-analysis of organic substances".

It's no surprise therefore to find a bust of this man of science in the historical center of the Slovenian capital city. It's a bronze sculpture placed on a beautifully carved stone plinth, about a hundred meters from the river.
