This unusual 9/11 Memorial stands at the east end of the Manhattan Beach Fire Department Station No. 1 in downtown Manhattan Beach.

This memorial contains two pieces of actual structural material from the World Trade Center towers. The memorial was the winner in a four-way design contest with Scott Yanofsky and the Terra Firma Group being awarded the project. There are many symbolic references to the New York site incorporated into the memorial design.
