Just south of Sittingbourne in Kent is the village of Tunstall. A small unique village. In the middle ages, due to the small size of the village, it was banned from having any form of shop or pub in the village. This still so today, as their is neither a shop, nor a pub in this village.

The village sign was put up in 2000 to mark the Millennium. It shows as a centre piece, two oast houses, the church and one house. These are surrounded by animals, hops and a hand holding an arrow. This all signifies the village is rural, and thrived through orchards, the land and farming. The arrow indicates the local hunting in what would have been mostly forest around the village. At the bottom, the banner reads "Tunstall 2000"
