Located within the
Running Y Ranch Resort and on the 9th fairway, close to the clubhouse is a very popular sledding area for the local kids and cross country skiers. The starting point is at one of the tees on top of a steep hill that offers sledders an opportunity to zip down the hill in a matter of seconds. My family has sledded down the 9th fairway for a couple of winters now and it becomes very popular after a good snowfall.
The Running Y Ranch golf course was designed by Arnold Palmer. I bet he had no idea when designing this course that the 9th fairway would be popular for sledding in the winter time!
