Benny the library opened its doors in 1956 in a building that originally housed the temporary chapel of the parish of Saint Monica. The characteristics of the chapel have been preserved and the library always has a warm and family atmosphere that makes its charm.
Benny library has many documents in French and English, for youth and adults. The collection includes books, magazines, newspapers, CDs, audio books, large print books, language learning methods, etc.. Themes are also developed such hospitality to newcomers (citizenship test), returning to school and reading suggestions. A group of citizen volunteers promoted the library.
La bibliothèque Benny a ouvert ses portes, en 1956, dans un édifice qui abritait à l'origine la chapelle temporaire de la paroisse Sainte-Monica. Les caractéristiques de la chapelle ont été conservées et la bibliothèque dégage toujours une atmosphère chaleureuse et familiale qui en fait son charme.
La bibliothèque Benny possède de nombreux documents, en français et en anglais, pour jeunes et adultes. La collection comporte des livres, magazines, journaux, cédéroms, livres parlants, livres à gros caractères, méthodes d'apprentissage de langues, etc. Des thématiques sont également développées telles l'accueil aux nouveaux arrivants (examen de citoyenneté), le retour aux études et les suggestions de lecture. Un groupe de citoyens bénévoles fait la promotion de la bibliothèque.
