This spring is located near Quarteira, an old fishing community now a busy touristy town.

The water from this spring has, accordingly to the tradition, healing properties and although it's not so popular as in the past, people still come here to retrieve water.

Unfortunately what was once a heavenly spot is now ruined by litter and graffiti. It's close to the main road, but a bit hidden, so the casual traveler wouldn't find the spring.

The place was renovated by the parish in 1969 and the still beautiful blue tiles are from that year.

Please post an original picture of the springs no GPS necessary along with your observations of the spring. What wildlife you saw if any and the condition of the springs. Water level was high, low. The area was clean, trashy ect. Any other knowledge or experiences you have had with this paticular spring that would help document it's history.
