The Riverside Brewing Company was founded by Dave Padden, a long-time resident of Sydney's western suburbs and enthusiastic member of its associated home brewing society.
The brewery produces six regular beers and a number of seasonal beers, as well as collaborative brews with other breweries in Australia and New Zealand.
One of their most popular beers is the '69' Summer Ale (named after the song 'Summer of 69').
The 'cellar door' is open on Friday evenings (2pm until 6pm) and Saturdays (10am until 2pm).
You can sample the beers in 200ml glasses - a flight of six costs $10 - or you can bring in a growler (1.89 lt) and have it filled for around $20 (depending upon the beer).
The beer is also served at a number of Sydney and Newcastle bars and is sold in some bottle shops in 345 ml bottles.
