The pictures are taken looking down Barrack St towards the Swan River from just north of Wellington St in the City
The original was taken in the mid 1900's and the latter in December 2013. In the distance of both can be seen the Town Hall tower, gone are the overhead telegraph and power wires and the tram lines, replaced with natural gas powered buses and horses with cars and trucks
