U.S. Geological Survey benchmark on the old Van Duzen River about 6 miles west Bridgeville. Standard USGS benchmark disk set on top of concrete bridge rail at southwest corner of bridge. Cap is stamped 386 ft, 20RS and was set in 1933.

DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1948 6.1 MI W FROM BRIDGEVILLE. 6.1 MILES WEST ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 36 FROM THE VAN DUZEN RIVER BRIDGE AT BRIDGEVILLE, HUMBOLDT COUNTY, AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF A BRIDGE, IN THE CONCRETE RAIL, AND 36 FEET SOUTH OF THE CENTERLINE OF THE HIGHWAY. A UNITED STATES GEOLOGICAL SURVEY STANDARD DISK, STAMPED 20 RS.
