This tree is near the Dallas Arboretum. Southern and Northern catalpa trees are very difficult to tell apart. My favorite way is by noting a slight variation in the flowers. Of course that means there is only a very short period of the year when you can make the determination.
This tree is in the back yard and must be viewed and photographed from the street.
