The pub's website tells us:

The Brewers Inn was originally the Two Brewers, but was renamed on opening as a coaching inn in 1994.

It has been a Young's pub since 1831 and dates back from at least 1800. Today's exterior comes from rebuilding in 1900.

Just a stone's throw from the site of the old Ram Brewery where Young's beers were brewed for over 175 years and where brewing can be traced back until at least 1675.

The sign hangs from the pub's wall. It shows a portly gentleman, with sleeves rolled up, holding a half empty pint glass in his hand. The look of appreciative satisfaction on the man's face suggests that the taste of the beer is to his liking. On a shelf, behind him, is a keg of beer.
