Located at the corner of the Susanville Police Station is a flagpole that was an Eagle Scout project by Austin T. Sturges. There is a small plaque located on the concrete base of the flagpole that mentions special thanks to local businesses and the fire captain who obviously assisted in the creation of this flagpole.
