A walk along The Promenade in this historic fishing town will lead you to a path down to this children's play area, just north of the Marine Hall. Nestled in the natural gardens, these modernistic play structures offer visiting children an easy diversion. Further south there is access to the Wyre Leisure Center and YMCA facilities with swimming pool. Then comes the signature art deco building of Marine Hall, dating from 1935, but still in use as a venue for live entertainment, weddings and other functions.
There are a few swings, a merry-go-round and climbing structures, but with a more abstract appearance. The Marine Gardens were formally opened on October 12, 2012.
