A natural lava tube that was created by the nearby Kilauea Crater. You can now walk inside and explore the cave. It is very dark inside because the walls are all black, as that is what cooled lava looks like so I recommend you bring a flashlight, even though lights are already inside the cave. Taken from Wikipedia, "A lava tube is a natural conduit formed by flowing lava which moves beneath the hardened surface of a lava flow. Tubes can be actively draining lava from a volcano during an eruption, or can be extinct, meaning the lava flow has ceased and the rock has cooled and left a long, cave-like channel. Lava tubes are likely to exist on previously or currently geologically active planets or moons, including the Earth."
