Some say the city started here, around a well. But in any case, this was definitely one of the core spots in the formation of Olhão. It was the main source of water for the community and for many years water sellers would pick the liquid here and then distribute it around the town.
Nowadays there is a monument on the spot. Many things changed but the house depicted here is still there.
