Bighorn sheep are a common sight in the rocky canyon sides in the vicinity of Hoover Dam and they sometimes find themselves blocking traffic. A fill grown ram is no lightweight and will do a lot of damage to your vehicle if you happen to hit one. And since you now have to make the trip along this stretch of highway twice (the highway across the dam no longer continues through on into northern Arizona), you have twice as much opportunity to encounter one of these amazing animals.
