Spokane River Falls at Riverfront Park - Spokane, WA

These waterfalls are quite a sight to see in the spring, when the river is really boogeying. They can make quite a racket, as well. Their great attraction is the fact that they're right in the centre of the city.

Spokane Falls is actually three distinct and separate waterfalls, one of which can be viewed easily from Riverfront Park. The third, lower, falls is downstream from the park and is partially a hydroelectric dam and partially a natural falls directly below. It's viewable from below, cut can't really be seen from the park.
The first and second falls flow on either side of Canada Island, directly north of Riverfront Park. The falls that flow around the south side of Canada Island are adjacent to Riverfront Park and are easily viewable from the park. By crossing either the North Howard Street Pedestrian Bridge or the pedestrian Suspension bridge further south, one may observe the northern falls from Canada Island.
