The trailhead is located near the medieval castle of Mourão, where there is a board with a detailed description including a satellite image with the trail marked.
This is a special walking trail: it exists AT LEAST since 1509, when the first reference to this trail shows in historical references.
From the castle, people would walk to the chapel of Saint Sebastian (São Sebastião).
Nowadays the trail is kept and maintained by the municipality of Mourão. An excellent PDF with all sorts of information can be downloaded here:
