The village pump in Nether Kellet has other features with it. A spring feeds an extensive trough for animals. Although the handle still operates, there is no suction.

The pump is well maintained with a renewed wooden back board and the metalwork painted black. The whole area around the pump is well maintained, with safety railings also painted, and flagstones, leading to a cobbled area. Two bench seats separate the parking from the pump area.
