The Otter Tail and Bois de Sioux Rivers come together at this point in a small park in downtown Breckenridge MN, just over the state line from Wahpeton ND.
Where the Otter Tail and the Bois de Sioux commingle is also the ORIGIN of the Red River of the North, the longest north-flowing river in the US.
The City of Breckenridge MN built Headwaters park to be a nice place to show off this unique natural feature of a confluence AND a river origin.
