Alexian Field is conveniently located in Schaumburg, Illinois near the village's Metra commuter rail station and the Elgin-O'Hare Expressway.
The park was completed in May 1999. The Flyers were previously known as the Thunder Bay Whiskey Jacks. The team plays in the independent Northern League.
Alexian Field seats 7,048 and also has a picnic area in the outfield and a restaurant. The park is named for the Alexian Brothers Hospital Network, which holds naming rights until 2009. The ballpark is operated by the Village of Schaumburg and the Schaumburg Park District.
