This is what appears to be a perennial spring that creates a small oasis in the desert. Perennial springs have become rare here. Old piping suggests that it was formerly used for cattle ranching which is common in this area.
The easiest way to the spring is from the continuation of Happy Valley Road on to FR4411. To access this route take the J6-Mescal exit off I-10 east of Tucson. The road is passable by car most of the way. Then high clearance, possibly 4x4 is needed for roughly the last mile.
