In the unincorporated township of Grand Ridge and at an intersection of county roads is St. Marys of the Field Mission Church.

The church is located at E 22nd Road and N 21St Road in LaSalle County, on the southeast corner of that intersection, approximately halfway between the cities of Marseilles and Streator. At this location there is just the church. There is a utility facility on the diagonal corner, and corn/soy bean fields surrounding them.

The church is a white clapboard wood structure. The main entrance faces west, where there is a small portico ajacent to the bell tower. The bell tower is relatively short, clearing the peaked roof and topped by a low pyramidal roof and cross. The long side of the building has four windows with pointed peaks at the top.

The web sites found don't have much information about the activities or history of the church. The congregation was established in 1871, but I could not confirm that the building is that old.

Masses: Saturday 5:30 pm; Sunday 8:00 am.
