The pub sign is attached to the wall of the pub by a decorative bracket. Across the top of the sign, in a curved scroll, is the pub's name - "Green Man". Beneath that is an oval ring with the major axis being in the vertical plane. This contains a figure, in relief, of the waist to top of head of a man. His torso, arms and hair are covered in green leaves but, for some reason, his beard is normal(?) brown hair. In his right hand, being held across his chest, is a beer tankard.
